In War Thunder, aircraft, attack helicopters, ground forces and naval ships collaborate in realistic competitive battles. You can choose from over 1,500 vehicles and an extensive variety of combat situations many of which are exclusive. You can find yourself blasting your pursuers from a bomber turret, defending your teammates on the ground from an air raid with anti-aircraft guns, shooting down enemy planes with a firestorm from multiple rocket launchers, or trying to sink an enemy warship with a torpedo from a fast attack boat.

Using assets from the video game developed by Bigmoon Entertainment from the Unreal4 Engine, we prepared to make this cinematic trailer. The engines flexible technology allowed us to easily adapt our prerendered pipeline to the production process, so that we could make the most of our existing modelling, texturing and animation strengths alongside the live assets within the game. UE4 allowed our artists real-time feedback whilst developing each scene, which presents a more creative and fluid development process, offering great opportunities for inspired experimentation and a dynamic workflow. Based on the world famous annual rally raid organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) in South America, DAKAR 18 is a realistic simulation of the biggest cross-country rally in the world and features a variety of vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, trucks, quads and UTVs. Players will compete in fierce online multiplayer battles as well as playing offline to harness and grow racing skills in a huge open world.

Sky Kingdoms: 7 Pirates

In this action-packed trailer, the challenge was to create a beautiful cinematic that would complement the game’s much lauded, and unique, graphical style. Our Hero’s quiet day is seemingly interrupted by the enemies of the game, leading to a full-scale battle that shows the breadth of the game’s beautifully realised world brought to life in cinematic form. Sky Kingdoms is the first of a number of trailers to be released by RealtimeUK that have been created specifically for Chinese clients. ‘Sky Kingdoms’ is the latest hit mobile game from ‘7 Pirates’, the developers of the hugely successful ‘Ark of War’. With over a million views in a couple of months War Robots isn’t slowing down!

Chris Scubli was all over the creative, developing a fast paced treatment that blew Pixonic away.
With CG direction from Ian Jones and Art Direction from Stu Bayley the idea soon took shape. Substance painter really came into its own on this project but our tried and tested pipeline was the real winner.

Pixonic are one of a new breed of exciting mobile developers who are latching onto high quality cinematics to help their game grow.
